The higher moisture content in raw cotton and lower moisture content in cotton yarn will affect invisible loss in commercial terms. The lower moisture content (below admissible level) in raw cotton and higher moisture content in cotton yarn will affect the quality of the material. The instrument is designed to check the moisture content in Cotton, Yarn and Sliver, based on worldwide technology of resistance and conductivity. It is portable; compact & sturdy fabrication allows the user to handle the instrument comfortably. The measuring rages covers all moisture percentages that are generally used in industry.The units are indicated in percentage (%) of Moisture in calibrated scales. The necessary contact pins are provided to test all materials from raw cotton to yarn.
